Orcas or 'killer whales' are really dolphins. They were called the latter by ancient sailors who named them 'killer whales' after observing them hunting and killing larger whale species. Their latin name Orcinus Orca reflects this. Orcinus - Kingdom of the Dead and Orca - type of whale. It's a bit grim, HOWEVER, they are not the vicious killers the ancients pertained them to be! My orca is leaping free of the ocean in a state of complete JOY!!
